On September 12, 2009, decorating enthusiast from the Magnolia State came together for a Mini-PLUS. We had a wonderful time putting faces together with names that we had conversed with many times through the PlanetChristmas.com web site. We really enjoyed seeing how DaleW made his “Elvis Reindeer” who plays the host at his light show. The Krusaders (Steven and Christy) from New Albany talked about their 13 acre display and of the potential traffic problems that can arise from such a large display. They also brought some inflatable's that added to the spirit of the day. Gabe from Southaven brought a display showing how incandescent c7 and c9’s compared to three different manufacturers of LED c7 and c9 replacement bulbs. Kelly and Delores from Holly Springs told us about their display at a two-story home with 11 foot ceiling. (Talk about a tall ladder…) I got to show the snow flakes that I had been welding all summer and lighting with LEDs. Bigguy Tom from Brandon came to learn and to see where he wants to go with his first year using animated control. Now that everyone has returned home, I hope they had as much fun as my wife Belinda and I did hosting this event. May next year’s be bigger and better.
